SOS Children's Villages is a non-governmental, non-profit social organization founded in Austria in 1949 and operating in Indonesia since 1972, with a mission to ensure that children who have lost parental care receive a loving family and home. The organization has eight villages in various cities across Indonesia and runs two main programmes: Village (childcare in foster families with SOS mothers) and Family Strengthening for vulnerable families.

Mission of the Position:

The CFE Officer is responsible for leading initiatives that foster the growth, sustainability, and empowerment of communities. This role involves planning, implementing, and evaluating programs and projects that address community needs, enhance capacity, and promote social and economic well-being. The CFE Officer serves as a liaison between the organization, community stakeholders, and partners, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and community priorities. Responsible for protecting children, adolescents, adults, and organizational assets in accordance with safeguarding policies and assigned responsibilities.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree (S1) in community development, social work, sociology, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in managing community development projects or similar roles.

  • Strong leadership, organizational, and project management skills.

  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.

  • Knowledge of community development principles, participatory approaches, social mapping, and sustainability practices.

  • Proficiency in program monitoring and evaluation tools and methodologies.

  • Exceptional oral and written presentation skills in both Indonesian and English.

  • Budget management and grant writing experience.

  • Commitment to social equity, inclusion, and community empowerment.

  • Have experience in working with young people and children

  • Willing and able to travel as and when required.
